altid, the new London menswear start-up, is shaping the future of the fashion industry, with its fresh take on sustainable clothing. This involves using a family run Portugese factory, never using air freight, using organic and responsibly sourced cotton, delivering orders on bicycles in London and offsetting over and beyond the amount of carbon they create.
The story of altid began with a vision; create a line of wardrobe essentials that will be better for the planet and stand the test of time, outlasting passing trends. altid’s debut collection offers stylish, high quality clothes from subtly branded t-shirts to a WFH friendly grey hoodie.

By working closely with their Portugese factory, the brand ensures it’s supply chain is not only environmentally monitored, but is also transparent to its customers. The brand also uses low impact dyes for its garments, plastic free packaging and is working towards B Corp Certification.
For every item sold, altid offsets 20kg of carbon, making an altid wardrobe carbon negative.
“We started altid in 2020 as we were frustrated in our search for clothes that were both stylish and sustainable. We believe people should be able to invest in a smaller wardrobe that will stand the test of time, and at altid we offer high quality alternatives to fast fashion high street retailers. We have created a brand and a supply chain that is transparent about its impact on our planet and what steps we are taking to reduce this. We are fed up of the diluted message of sustainable clothing, and believe that by encouraging our wearers to buy into quality and not quantity, is the best way to reduce our impact on the environment.”

Who altid are
London start-up, altid is a low carbon menswear brand that combines style with sustainability. Started by three fashion industry professionals and entrepreneurs, who believe that well made stylish clothing should not come at the cost of our planet. The founding trio are all hugely passionate about sustainability and fashion, with a combined experience of 20 years working in the world of fashion and FMCGs.
The word altid comes from the Danish word translating to ‘always’, and this is a vision for the brand - to make clothes that will remain relevant and high quality now, tomorrow and always.
